What crushed grain looks like
Mine was like that for about 5 seconds of use then it broke. It only seems to be there to allow the idle roller to turn when you have no grain in the hopper. They all break off fairly soon after you start using the mill with no degradation to performance.Andy wrote:Just had a look at my Barley crusher and noticed an o-ring on the drive roller. Ah yes. You loosen the locking screw, move the adjustment knobs one way or another keeping the rollers parallel, then tighten it up...when you've mucked up your crush thinking you know better, you can return it to where it was because they marked the default position.Andy wrote:Basically, use a brush to clean the rollers and periodically (every year) apply a few drops of veg oil to the bearings.
