I have been very pleased with the beer (haze excepted).

I find it has a nice refreshing hop bite without being too bitter. I particularly like the lingering bitterness. It is there but doesn't clobber you over the head. The limited amount of crystal offers a little body/mouthfeel while still allowing the hops to come thru.

I am particularly enjoying drinking it as the same time as my ordinary bitter both share the same yeast (Wyeast Thames Valley) and about the same gravity. My OB has more crystal and is lighter on the hops (around 28 IBUs). Similar beers with a different focus. I didn't anticipate this but right now I am enjoying the Boddingtons more than my stock OB.

Oh and that is a different lazy white cat as far as I know.

Gus has never known Bud lite to be in the house! Although Miller lurks in the fridge on occasion.

After drinking a few more of these I like it even more but I think you are right Johnny you could lose the black malt. It is probably a bit too dark.
