Think the carraige rates are good as well for anyone not close to the shop.

Good to meet you today Fubar and obviously delighted to hear you're going to support your local shop.

Just to clarify the position on liquid yeasts; we will be getting them in to order for the time being. Once we have a established demand we will probably stock some of the more common ones but we need to see what lead time and delivery constraints our suppliers are going to place on us.

We are, however, changing our opening hours to reflect the needs of our customers. From 1st April, we are now closing on Mondays but are opening later, until 6pm, on Fridays to enable local brewers to get their ingredients in time for the weekend brewday.

You can keep up to date with news on the shop by following @EasyHomeBrew on Twitter or by clicking on the Easy Home Brew Blog.

Hope this helps

Going for a really white witbier next and was looking at Dingemans Pilsen Malt 25kg E.B.C. 2.7 for the 2 row barley malt. £36.00 for 25kg. Are there any lighter 2-row barley malts around available easily? Going to be used with a wheat malt EBC 3.0.

cheers

Got a sack of Maris Otter and a KG of hops from Rob at the Malt Miller, great service - he crushed the grain a bit finer when I asked him to. Arrived quickly also.

I came across these guys the other day http://www.murphyhomebrew.com/ and they seem to have quite competitive pricing. They are a part of Murphy & Son who supply to microbreweries.
Fermenting: Wilkos Cider

What is the shelf life of a 25kg bag of crushed pale malt, would it last 12 months?

"What is the shelf life of a 25kg bag of crushed pale malt, would it last 12 months?"

Yes, it won't go off within a year; as long as it's kept dry in a box.

I brought a bag myself a five weeks ago, expecting it to last for months. Five brews later and I'm in need of a new bag.

Just got my first order from BB after a break in brewing for a while. Well impressed by how quickly the business seems to have expanded while I have been away. Made my order on Sunday pm and it was waiting for me when I arrived at work at 9 this morning. Can't wait to get going again.....
