I'm fairly sure I've seen those in brass in B&Q Farnborough, Andy. It's a 22mm - 1"BSPF coupler. I think the "iron" refers to the material.

I'm not sure about that as the screwfix ones are definately brass and they're called 'irons'...Go figure :roll:

They are called iron fittings because they accept threaded "iron pipe" 8)
