More pic's added on the brewday thread - going great so far! Smells fantastic and looks great.
Keeping off it until Christmas may be difficult!

Hi all,
well I got to brew it yesterday and is in the fridge at 18c now.
I accidentally(!) put 300g of dark crystal as well as the pale, caramalt and torrified wheat (was doing a 25lt batch was upped them to 300g).
Have to wait and see what it does.

missed this been trying to replicate a leffe blond for a while. I drink Leffe blond when i run out .My preference lately as been the Leffe nectar, anyone any ideas to convert the recipe perhaps adding some honey?
I'm presently fermenting some mead (first attempt) and maybe a blend of the two is the way forward.

A little late, but I've posted my go on the Brewdays section. I wonder if I was inadvertently brewing along with anyone else?!?
Cheers,

due to a bit of a conflict I ordered in the Malt Miller pack but didn't get to brewing until mid-late Nov.
Its had 2 weeks primary and a week and a bit crash cooled. I always bottle off a few small 330ml bottles for samplers. After a week in the bottle its looking good. I am a bit lazy and tend to do 100% base malt brews usually. The interesting extra complexity here has inspired me to start looking at more complex malt bills for my IPAs

I have a spreadsheet somewhere; I'll dig it out later.

Good question. I've been too busy with brew shed construction to think about brewing.injac wrote:When's the next brew along then? Xmas?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what and when? I'ts already been suggested that we might try a Scottish Ale this time - though my memory is a bit hazy as I'd had a few at the time.

Scottish Ale would be interesting. Or maybe a porter?
