What crushed grain looks like

Post by Martin the fish » Fri Jan 18, 2008 11:46 am

I've taken a shot of my badly crushed grain done in my blender 'V' grain i recieved today from my supplier.

My 'blender attack' grain is on the left. On the right is grain recieved crushed from my supplier. 8)

I reckon i can get my current 'blender attack mode' on my crystal a little better for sure.

I figured i could sneakily get away with adding a few grams here and there 8)

I went a bit mad buying hops at first-even before i'd ever used them

But now i don't have a hop shortage for my two vars-Green Bullet and Sticklebract. I also have Fuggles and EKG pellets.

I should remember that the next time I get complaints that the hops have 'spread' to another drawer.

What the grain or the mill?

Either way you're in luck as I'll be milling some tonight as I'm brewing tomorrow.

Do Barley Crusher users using a power drill find you have to give the drill some "beans" to get the rollers to spin ? That's what I found to be the case last Saturday (first time I've used the crusher in anger with a drill) 8)

Yipe Andy you have to give it a bit of welly to get it started, then you can ease back on the power a bit to slow the rollers down a tad.
