Cask ale observations, etc...

Well, my birthday celebration went boom! We went through about 12 gallons of beer. I have a hang over from hell at the moment, trying desperately to get back into the land of the living. I found out that 2 ounces of priming sugar is adequate. The others that I used 1/2 cup, which is 4 ounces were a little too heady. Soon it will be back to the drawing board. I've got a hybrid lager on my mind made with pilsner malt and fermented cool with 05. I'm also in contact with Wyeast to hopefully get their 1469, which is Timothy Taylors yeast strain. I've drank them before, but I really can't say enough about lower gravity beers. I just wish I had drank more of them yesterday!

Cheers,

Whorst

I wish i'd picked up the TTL strain a few months ago - is it still available or is it only seasonal? Glad you had a good birthday, Whorst.
