Another lesson learned.

Well, I've been mistaken. There was me thinking my first AG brew had diacetyl and, after tasting my 2nd AG, thought it had the same problem. No. No it doesn't. Niether of them do. Forgot I used Goldings and mistook the floral sweet taste and aroma for diacetyl.

Well, at least I know now. I guess i'm not going to be using goldings again as it's too sweet for me.

Think I might dry hop with Cascade for my 1st AG and maybe Hallertauer Northern Brewer for my second AG.

Live and learn. :?

Problem with that is I can't get to a shop to get any so I'm having to make do with what I have. After another look here - http://www.murphyandson.co.uk/BrewingAr ... pSpecs.htm

I think i'll dry hop both with the same - Hallertauer Northern Brewer. It has similar attributes to Northdown which is again similar to Challenger but comes with extra richness.

Now I just need to decide on the amount to add....Any ideas?
