I have just brewed a brown ale og 1042 with a mash temp of 68c and a mash time of 1 hour to get a full bodied ale .Pitched with sapale 04 4 days ago.Gravity has been constant for 24 hours at1016.I will leave it another 3 days or so but is it o.k if the gravity stays the same or would you pitch a bit more yeast to get the gravity down a tad.

Pitching more of the same yeast won't make it go any lower. Depending upon the recipe you used, that may be as far as it's going to go with S-04. At most you might get a couple more points by changing to another yeast.
