You spawny git garth :D

I rang my local microbrewery this evening, he did a lot of ohhing and ahhing (like some sort of plumber pricing a job) and talked about the astronimical price hikes, told me to ring back tomorrow when he could work out a price, any thing under £30 would be a bonus to be honest.

I paid £20 for my last sack from a micro although I think it was due to go up. Tuckers charge £26 for a sack of uncrushed (+delivery).

I envy the prices you guys can get on the mainland, i remeber getting in touch with tuckers a while back, great prices but the postage was going to be an absolute killer.
What ever way i cut it unless they want a ridiculous amount of money its probably going to be cheaper getting it from them, i just wanted to see how it compared with what others were paying (especially from other micros).
If its to expensive, it'll be a case of driving there picking it up and leaving instead of taking swmbo and staying for a meal and a few drinks like i normally do (well money doesn't grown on trees unfortunately).

Same here, was £15 last year, now £20 but told it'll be the same now for this year.

Have also had 50kg through the northern meet up club at about £17 too

Ah ok, bit far for me to make it worthwhile, but one to note if I'm ever down that way :) I'm still to approach Zero Degrees in Reading for a sack of the malt :)
