Torrefied & Flaked Wheat

Torrefied & Flaked Wheat

Are they the same thing? I've got some Torrefied Wheat, and also a bag of Flaked Wheat - they look the same.....

Torrefied wheat should look like sugar puffs, without the glaze. Flaked wheat should look.. flakey

Weeeeellll........the torrefied stuff looks like squashed sugar puffs without the glaze...i.e flaky too!

Mind you, the two lots of torrefied I've had (One from Barley Bottom and one from Farnborough HBS) have both looked like that.
