Hi Guys.
Just a quickie.... Where is a good, reliable place to order from online? I heard a couple of shops werent so reliable so where do you get yours thats tried and tested?
Hopshop looks good but his hops seem expensive.
Cheers.

I use Hop & Grape and HopShop. There are others but they both combine a good selection with good service.

Another one that gets a lot of use from folks on here and a great write-up is Barley Bottom, Paul is a regular user of this forum (Reaper).

Hops are expensive at the moment because of global supply problems, something all brewers are having to put up with. A couple of years ago the average price of a pack of Fuggles was about £2.50, now its anywhere up to £6. I would assume hop prices are quite sticky because it takes a few years to get a hop farm up and running, but prices should return in time.

I'm more than happy to recommend Leyland Home Brew. Good prices, excellent service, free advice etc

Malt, hops, yeast from Barley Bottom, also cornie adaptors and toys. Very good service!

Lots of things including speciality malts and interesting yeasts form The Home Brew Shop in Farnborough (pretty good service - no probs so far).

Young's branded brewing bins and fermenters, also kits, from Wilkinson's (go to the shops rather than online).

I've had an aeration stone and HEPA filter from Beertech, but their website is a PITA.

Leyland Home Brew made me a custom false bottom, and the service was very good - I can't remember ordering anything else from them.

I can recommend Hop and Grape too.

Also The Home Brew Centre (http://www.homebrewcentregy.com)- really cheap hops! £2.90 for 100g

I use Barley bottom, leyland brewery and hop & grape. All good. Prefer Barley bottom for the organics and the other 2 for hardware.
