Bottle Conditioning

Post by Western Brewer » Sun Oct 22, 2006 11:26 am

Not sure which bit this post should be in. I want to move my Trippel to a secondary fermentation vessel (my king keg). Now fermentation has finished so I know that I should prime the beer so there is a layer of co2 over it. I also want to add some finings and then bottle it (KK never holds pressure and I don't have a cornie yet). Will it be ok to add some more priming agent to it again, after say a week or so when the beer has cleared so that it gets carbonated when I bottle it, or am I running the risk of exploding bottles.
Any thoughts gentlemen?

I would purge the KK, but only have the fitting for the 'Sparklet' bulbs so can't give a quick squirt. Thanks for the advice as always Daab
