Looking at using Jims Stock Bitter for my 1st AG attempt. In the mash schedule it states 2.8g of Water, is this 2.8g of water per g of grain?

Hi Toby........Should read 2.8L of liquor (water!!) per KG of grain........Hope this helps.......also have a look at the sparge volume calc. on this site if you are intending to batch sparge.

Cheers and good luck

Actually, that's 2.8 gal of mash water in total for the amount of grain stated.

I can't remember what the actual ratio is, but it'll be about 3l per kg, as Alefric says.
