Last couple of mashes it was 2.5 l/kg;
was using 2l/kg for a while but changed to 2.5 to improve my efficiency and it seemed to work (although it could have been random).

i am normally very thin at 3l/kg ish. i never adjust i just always chuck 15l of water in to my MT.
i did a strong beer with only 2l/kg though. my efficiency dropped on this brew.

I've always used 3 - 3.5 l/kg
I did try 2.5 - 2.75 once after reading it on the forum but found thinner mash easier to get temp right and more manageable.
DL in BBLTYB states 3.25 - 3.75

Typically 2.5l/kg here although the Durden Park Porter I brewed recently was 2l/kg.
