Yes, fly fishing twice a year :D it's the only fishing I am allowed to do while on holiday with the family

im adicted to it, used to coarse fish but then someone told me not to try fly as i wouldnt want to anything else , they were right :D

how much sparge water would you recomend for this chimay by the way?

cheers, 15 ltrs then . usualy i collect a gallon extra then boil it off , thats when i do 20ltrs so if i go for about 3 or 4 ltrs extra from the sparge that should be about right i spose. mind you if its an hour boil it will still boil off the same amount wont it , bugger it i will collect an extra gallon .

thanks mysterio, only one cock up so far, i managed to bake some grain on to the element of my boiler , never done that before mind you it might add a touch of smokyness to the brew :D ever the optimist

i made a hose fitting and pipe for the kitchen tap cos i was fed up of jugging water all the time , great idea until teh hose comes off the tap and floods the floor :D
trust me you wont be teaching me to suck eggs i assure you , i survive on pure luck and help from you lot when brewing , it is much appreciated. ive allready sparged now and waiting for the boil so its too late to check , i will rememebr that for next time tho, cheers.
anyone know a safe method for cutting blocks of hops up? the bread knife is a bit dodgy at times , nearly lost a few fingers just then
