DOH! Put a brew on yesterday went to pitch the yeast this morning & was going through a mental checklist and discovered I did not add Irish Moss last 15 mins of boil.Never having forgot this before I'm in the dark
Will it clear ?
I never add finings in the secondary but have had a rummage through the wifes wine making stuff and found 2 packs of liquid finings Marked
A - Kieselsol & B - Chitosan they must have been part of a wine kit .
Should I use either of these? Its an IPA type brew.
Anyone out there as daft as Me ?

Re: First Senior Moment
Done this many a time, it will clear but it may take twice as long to do so. I wouldn't add anything else to it,. As it's an IPA I would be tempted to bottle it, leave in a cool cold place and wait a few months.

Re: First Senior Moment
Irish Moss is used to enhance the cold break not to help yeast settle out.

Cheers Guys I dont like adding (extras ) to my brews the simpler the better.
As its for a summer brew there is plenty of time .
I have the option of bottling or Corny but will leave in the secondary for a good 3 weeks before deciding.
