Ag white shield from byobra

Collected 23 ltr in fv.

Checked og and 1060 should be 1050 from book

What went wrong ?

personally,i would leave it,it will be alot stronger than intended but thats how i like it..
it looks like you could be getting a high efficiency,which is a good thing 8)

Higher efficiency than book? Recipe mistake? Temperature of wort? All possibles, but as mat says, unless you've discovered this during the boil, I'd leave it now.

Had a play with beersmith and the Recipe is 1050 at the efficiency of 75% as the books says. I guess my efficiency was about 83%.

I measure the gravity during the sparge - Should be measuring the gravity as it goes in the boiler ?

If it is too high next time should I add more water to boiler or the FV at the end, and is there a calculation to work out how much?

You'll need to measure the gravity of the pre-boil wort to get your efficiency. The gravity changes during the sparge depending on when you take a reading. But then again, if you're getting 83% then great!
