The smoothest AG brew in my experience to date.
The new barley crusher worked well.
Hit my temps, hit my OG and was just a little shy on volume (less than a quart).
gravity of final runnings was around 1.014. Efficiency of 75% based on OG and about 74% based on volume. Plan was 75%.
Used a quart starter of Thames Valley based on a propogation batch I split back in Feb. Jim's yeast propogation method has worked well for me so far.
IC chilled the wort pretty fast although I didn't time it I think it was around 20-25 minutes.
I believe I had as much aeration as one can get with the pour and splash method.
The yeast head is forming nicely.
The only problem is that got up to 81F today outside!
Thanks for the recipe Orfy.

Yours looked awfully tasty Flytact.
Mine turned out a bit dark. It has gotten better and better with age. It had a lingering aftertaste at first that I attributed to out of control fermenting temps but that has disappeared. Unfortunately I am fast running out of this one! Compared it to the bottled version. Mine was much darker and the real deal seemed significantly sweeter.
On an unrelated note - fermenting my ordinary bitter ABV 3.7%, IBU 27 (challenger/goldings combo). Used S-04 for the first time - smells lovely. Will more than likely bottle it next weekend.
