That's a moment when you lean back in your chair, put a cigar between your teeth, hands behind your head and go "yeah" with a slight nod of the head!

Satisfyingly smug!!

I was thinking for an Imperial IPA (double IPA same thing no?) that this would work quite nicely, at about 7.4% it'll suit 330ml bottles and I think with the exception of playing with the hop amounts it could be very nice, debating steeping at 80c with willamette too for some added aroma, any thoughts?

I have done quite a few AG Brews but seem to keep returning to a very simple recipe. This is a clone of the Hopback Brewery Summer Lightning, which is light and easy to drink but has a good strong hoopy taste and reasonable ABV. I oringinally bought the ingredients as a recipe kit from BrewUK and was very suprised at the results.

I have an illustrated brewing journal if anyone wants to take a look:
http://brew.x10.mx/Journals/SummerLightningNotes.htm

Recipe:
Pale Malt (EBC 4 or less) - 4.99Kg
Challenger Hops (start of Boil) - 46g
Goldings Hops (Last 10 Min of Boil) - 15g
Goldings Hops (End of Boil) - 9g
Yeast - S-04
Mash Liquor - 14 Litres
Mash Temperature - 66C
Mash Time - 1 Hour 30 Minutes
Sparge Temperature - 77C
Boil Time - 1 Hour 30 Minutes
Batch Volume 23 Litres
Fermentation Temperature - 20C
Expected OG - 1052
Expected FG - 1013
