Dunno about how to input it on beer engine, but it does give a very stong liquorice flavour, so I would use sparingly, unless that's what you like
no palate, no patience.

Drinking - of course

I used 300g in a Chocolate Treacle Stout. Came out well, not too treaceley(?) but you could taste it. I took some of the boiling wort mixed in the treacle and added 20 mins before end of boil. :D

Morning jimbo, I've used half a small tin of this treacle in my last two stouts, and I has given It a very nice flavour and will continue to use It in this quantity, I put it in for last 10 mins of boil (23litres), sorry i don't use any software or tools so can't help you with that bit! Cheers matt

It's partially inverted unrefined cane sugar and includes mollases. I started adding it to my dark milds gradually and found that amounts above 100g in a 27L brew were noticable by an increasing liquorice flavour, this of course would bot be so apparent in a stout which you could get away with higher amounts. It's not the same as No 4 invert sugar which along with the other range can be obtained from http://www.ragus.co.uk ( 25kg tubs ) but you can make your own by boiling white cane sugar with a little citric acid and evaporating till the desired colour is reached.

Brewed this in the end

Pale malt 4000g
flaked barley 500g
roasted barley 500g
23 litres

There was 300g of black treacle in the tin so that went into boiler, got no idea what og was but it smells nice :D got to get it in barrel this weekend .

It goes great in a stout IMO. I happily use a whole tin in a 23l brew.
