balls!

Get advice on making beer from raw ingredients (malt, hops, water and yeast)

im nearing the bottom of my barrel this evening and have noticed little balls of gelatine floating around in it , i presume this is where i didnt mix it properly ? any ideas ?

You presume correctly. As to ideas, you answered your own question..... mix it correctly! :D Mix the dry gelatine with a small quantity of warmed water/beer/wort/priming syrup until it's properly dissolved, then add to the bulk carefully, mixing GENTLY to ensure it's evenly distributed. Do not aerate your beer at this point.

believe it or not thats what i was doing until i found a sieve , you can guess the rest :lol:
