Another Morland Abingdon Mild Ale

Hiya,

Here's my ingredients list:

2500 gms M/O
125 gms Roast Barley
500 gms light brown sugar (Tate & Lyle)

60 gms fuggles.

1 Whirlfloc tablet

11gms Safale S04

Mashed for 90 minutes at around 66 degrees, but had trouble maintaining temperature, which turned out to be because my thermometer isn't working properly. Had to switch back to glass thermometers, and found in places the mash was closer to 75~ degrees! Not sure if this was the cause of my poor efficiency, but presume so.

Sparged up to about 4 gallons.

Boiled for 90 minutes, boiling 35 gms for 30 mins, and the remainder for 15 minutes, along with the whirlfloc.

After making up to a reasonable volume, my OG was a little under 1030, so slightly off from my target 1033.

The wort didn't taste particularly sweet (I always have a taste), but this is the lowest gravity AG i've done yet.

Pitched the S04 at 24 degrees on Friday evening, and this morning (Monday) there was no airlock activity, and the kreusen has dropped in.

Will test gravity tonight, and we'll see what it looks like.
