Quick question. What's the difference between 95g of pale choclate malt and .95kg?

That's a lot of chocolate in a 5 gallon brew, I think I've done similar in the past, call it an experiment.

Should have lots of mouth feel!

You may have invented a new style of beer--what else went into it?

The main difference can be described in one word: burnt.
You may want to plan another brew to blend into it.

Brew Classic European Beers at Home page 117 - Castle Eden Porter 25L 4970g Pale Malt 880g chocolate malt, made this a month ago and it's still maturing in my garage but the samples have been really good.

Along similar lines to some of the stouts I've made using Roast Barley, another grain that you'd think would turn out too harsh if used in large amounts. I was at a brew day with a mate and he put in a whole kilo of roast barley. Whaaaat??? A quick sample of a finished similar stout confirmed that it works pretty well, it only sounds extreme :)

Since then I too don't spare the RB when doing stouts.

Apart from possibly taking more time to mellow out and mature, I reckon your brew will be most drinkable.

I only order what I need from the homebrew shop,so I couldn't add anything else. I gave the lot to United Utilities.
