Fast Fermentation & Kegging

Post by Wez » Mon Aug 06, 2007 9:49 pm

I had a Double Brew Weekend I brewed TLC Twist on Saturday & Grumpy Bum on Sunday, both have been in the cool garage at around 20 degrees i've just checked the SG and can't believe what they have both gone down to already both did have climbing out of the FV fermentations.

Saturdays TLC Twist OG 1046 tonight it's 1012 73.9% attenuation
Sundays Grumpy Bum OG 1054 tonight it's 1016 70.3% attenuation

I think i've read that you had expect Safale S04 to give you 73% but this is the fastest i've seen it get down (Grumpy Bum will be at 73% tomorrow i'm sure)

My questions...

A) How come these have fermented out so quickly.
B) Am I OK to keg so soon or should I leave them in the FV for a while?
