Can't comment on the wheat yeast in a pale ale but I'll second not using the raspberry syrup in a beer - luckily I only tried it out in a split batch, wasn't too galling to pour 7 bottles down the drain!

Your yeast will be fine.

See here for a humongous thread on using that raspberry stuff to make alcoholic raspberryade:

Re the yeast, it will defo mmake beer. Might have some unusual Flavours but could be an interesting experiment! If you ferment at the lower end of the temp range you'll get less yeasty esters. The hoppier the ale the less you'll notice the yeast flavours.

Might be the best ale you ever make [-o<

A German wheat yeast will not make an English or American style ale, if you've had a German wheat beer you will know how strong the yeast flavours are, so it depends how easy going you are about the outcome!
