Going to try and make some burger buns from the spent grain chef this week
http://brooklynbrewshop.com/themash/rec ... rger-buns/ will post a pic if they actually turn out as prescribed.
Cannot wait to see more results from that!
Perhaps we are missing a trick here, a business in spent grain flower / baked goods, the JBK dragons den application?

Managed to sort these out now we have a longer gap between the evenings world cup matches.
Still cooling down so will be a wait before sampling can decide if they're nice.
Grainfather conical standard bitter
Corny Keg 1 - Silver still spirits tonic water
Corny Keg 2 - Purple empty
Corny Keg 3 - Copper low % ale

They look pretty spot-on to me! they would go nicely with a good home made burger on the BBQ, and of course a good home brew in the hand!

My warren Hybrids are amazing egg machines almost an egg a day all year round . I am very sparing with how much spent grain they get as grain is not high enough in protein for this level of production . The traditional breeds are not so prolific so may be able to take more without laying off their backs . Traditionally, cattle are more suited to spent grains. just my thoughts .

Not really sure how this came to mind (Possibly the thousand birds that pick up after the kids at school), but what about birds?
I know it's the wrong time of year for all of this but it occurred to me that it might be a great way to feed the birds in winter, I'm guessing you could just whack it straight onto a bird feeder, or maybe even go a bit further and add some fat to it to make fat balls for them?
Just a thought.

They look like they are going to kill you. Almost something out of some sort of horror movie.
