Squeezing the bag

Usually I put my specialy grains and hops in separate muslin bags. Is it a big no-no to squeeze the bag to get the trapped wort out? I think I know the answer but would like the know why I should rinse the grains vs. a good old tea-bag squeeze!

I tried once, never again. If you like your beer with a serious twist of biting into fresh lemons then dont do it. And I wouldnt do it with hops either as they trap all the nasties that you dont want in your beer

Heh, yeah I got a pretty astringent taste going on in one of my recent darker brews. In another brew I was surprised at the hop profile which was off-balance (or maybe its just Fuggles are more full-bodied than my regular Cascade/Challenger regimine).

Technically I am extract w/ specialty grains but use a full boil. I figure in the future I will simply pop the muslin bags in the pasta strainer and rinse them w/ 3-4 liters of clean boiled water to top up my evaporation. What do you think?
