irish moss

Post by big yogi » Fri Dec 02, 2016 11:54 pm

Hi just done a all grain stout today, while its sitting in the fermenter, I have noticed I have forgotten to put in the Irish moss.

Will my brew brew be OK??is there anything that I can do ?

It'll be fine, from what I recall irish moss works at helping to drop out the proteins during the boil. I don't use it and my beers clear up fine.

Yeah, irish moss is just used to help with clarity, leaving it out won't do any harm at all. And with a dark beer like a stout, a bit of haziness will be much less noticeable anyway.
