I was lucky that my father in law brought me back some of these from America as I couldn't get them to ship me.
I saw them on a brewing video and I was interested in trying them after hearing some good reviews.
I'm thinking of a blood orange sour beer with idaho 7 hops which he also brought me back.
But I'm have never used syrup like this or know its impact on the final beer, maybe some of our US brewers have used this before or mat be someone has tried similar ....

Re: Cascade candi syrups
I've used normal candi sugar in belgians. Personally I would try and make a saison with it, using WY3711 or Belle Saison, the blood orange flavour would compliment the refreshing aspect of the saison, and adding a decent dose of simple sugar would help dry the beer out.

I've used the sour cherry in a stout with good results. I have another one waiting to be used in an American wheat beer.
I'm just here for the beer.

Did you follow the guidelines for dosage. ...not sure if I just chuck in the entire thing.

There aren't any guidelines on the one I have. I used one in a three gallon batch of stout.alix101 wrote:Did you follow the guidelines for dosage. ...not sure if I just chuck in the entire thing.
Start with one, you can always add more pretty much anywhere in the process.
