Had a pint of Sea Monkeys single hopped Bramling Cross last week at Mold Alehouse and it was not bad at all; big blackcurrant flavours but lacking depth as you sometimes get on single hopped beers. It's inspired me anyway to try a Bramling cross willamette combo with a fruity twist of cascade for good measure. Gonna get this brew on tomorrow. Here's the recipe:
1.0Kg Vienna malt
4.0Kg Pale malt
0.5Kg Cara malt
Bramling cross 20g 60m
Bramling cross 30g 30m
Cascade 20g 10m
Willamette 20g 5m
Bramling cross 50g FO
Willamette 30g FO
Cascade 30g FO
Bramling cross 100g Dry Hop
Cascade 50g Dry Hop
Bramling cross Willamette combo

That's a lot of hops! Looks like a tasty brew. What yeast are you going to use?

Like the look of that, what brew length is that based on?

@mrboxpiff standard 5 gallon brew for me
This has finished brewing now. Gonna rack this off the yeast tomorrow, so i can dry hop it in the week. Probably throw the pellets in Wednesaday so I can bottle it next Saturday. I don't like to dry hop in the fv because I want the clean yeast for my next brew. I've got another brew day planned for tomorrow, 2 different brews; an azacca pale ale and a big American red hopped with mosaic. Yum! Can't wait!

Re: Bramling cross Willamette combo
Good call on the hop mix. I find that Bramling Cross alone is a bit too much in pale beers and is best used as a dry /late hop in conjunction with something citrusy.
