Bit of a milestone
Don't really know why I'm posting this but for what it's worth I'm currently brewing my 50th all grain beer today - yet another S-05 IPA but with first gold hops - my home grown 2018 harvest.
Think I've got as far as I can with my limited set-up - BIAB. no-chill and bottling - restricted by kit, gas bottle heating, no on-hand water/drainage supply. And haven't as yet cracked that 'perfect' (for me) brew so reckon I'll just have to keep going and brew another 50

Congratulations Meatymc!
It takes a lot of beer to reach perfection!
I’ve certainly not got there yet!

Re: Bit of a milestone
Well to be honest, towards the end of last Summer I thought I'd nearly cracked it (IPA recipes) but then ran-out of my home grown hops - which are of course of unknown aa%. Bought some in and the resulting brews were totally different. I'm now on the 2018 crop and different all over again.
I don't mind persevering though

Re: Bit of a milestone
Well bugger me, I had a near perfect homebrew pint last night - a 5.5% Cascade IPA with a bit of a difference................
Received my order of Citra T90 hops from Rich (on here) yesterday - 500g. Decided to split it down into bags of 100g using a plastic pint 'glass' (from the rugby at Twickenham) to weigh them in - labelled, vacuum packed and into the freezer.
Time for a beer so opened said bottle brewed last September - decent enough albeit under hopped and a little under carbed. Couldn't be bothered cleaning out the hop debri from the 'glass' so poured in the beer with floaters everywhere. What a pint - what a bloody pint! 2nd and 3rd pretty good too!

Re: Bit of a milestone
And I knew you'd get me in the end!
Never thought to take a piccie but this has got me wondering whether a quick fix for (dissapointing) beers already in stock might be to crush a pellet in a glass, pour in the beer, leave for a few minutes then 'decant' into another glass. Won't quite get the same hit (with no actual bits on the tongue) and a bit of a fart but might keep me going until I get the hopping right before bottling.
