Oak aging?

Has anyone bought any oak sticks from here, out of interest:

I'm wondering how well they'd work in beer. They seem to also sell cubes, or sticks with cuts in.

I did a Coopers Stout using French Bourbon Barrel Oak chips.

Dry Hopped them for a week on day 7 of fermentation. It was BLM! =D>

I've been useing some Jack daniels oak chips for a few years that are sold for BBQ's. They are chipped jack daniels barrels 100% oak no aditives to assist burning.
I use them to age rum and whisky, but have also used them with some of my beers.
As they are very spirit soaked they are well sanitized. Up to a month in secondary and they are very good.
Every couple of years I dry them and take a blow torch to them, to add a bit more char to the oak.

I racked a gallon of Belgian Dark Strong Ale onto some of these...
