I got a recent batch of water treatment and protofloc from a supplier with very short best before dates, I would usually get over a year or so, these are June and August 19, and even with 200g/250ml I wouldnt get trough allot to be honest.
Technically they are within the dates so no point in mentioning to the supplier... so my question is for treatment/protofloc how long would you use after the “best before end date”?
Cheers.
Use by dates.

Protofloc is fine for years and years if kept properly dry, I must have had some of mine for around a decade with no noticeable change in performance.
'Water treatment' can be all sorts of different things, so we would need more info on that one. Generally though, I can't immediately think of anything that goes off easily/quickly, though calcium chloride can gain weight by absorbing moisture unless you purposely make up a solution to begin with.

Long as you like. Don’t worry about it for anything but sanitizer.

Chemicals just become less effective and can’t be guaranteed fit for purpose, likely it’s fine but without something to measure it (like PAA strips for perecetic acid) it’s guesswork, losing a batch for a sanitizer would be a shame! Everything else you can risk imo.
