I watched a YouTube video last night about a beer company in America who does not boil there wort at all they just get it up to near boil 80oC+ and add hops and whirlpools for extended time.
This goes against ever thing I've read and learnd about making beer, I know there's different ways to do things but this just seem to fall outside the guidelines of good practice or am I wrong.

I've heard that also being called a raw ale. http://www.milkthefunk.com/wiki/Raw_Ale has a little info on it too and some of the impacts.

If you use extracts you can do no-boil easily and make good beer.

But with the extracts they have already been boiled or high temp treated for pasteurization its just re-hydrating then adding extra flavours if wanted.

And what about the hot break? I suppose if you don't care whether your beer is clear it's OK.
I mean really, it's all down to whether anyone likes the results. I certainly wouldn't call it good brewing practice in the conventional sense though.

Their was an exbeeriment done and the results from what I skimmed is people could tell the differencs but the beer was still drinkable.
