Hi all
After numerous attempts to Google the additives in Rubicon I am no wiser as to the possible adverse effects of some of the additives on yeast.
I am brewing an ipa and want to add mango to make it a mango milkshake ipa but am unsure if it would kill the yeast when adding before I carbonate. I am thinking of adding to the primary fermentation then dry hopping in secondary before I bottle.
This is what it contains
Citric acid
Guar gum
Xanthan gum
Sucralose
Acesulfame k
Fructose
Vitamin c
Flavourings
Many thanks
Bedders

You are calling that BEER

I don't think it will cause problems if you add it towards the end of active fermentation. Beware that there's both sugar and sweeteners in there, and it's really only about 20% mango puree, so 80% of what you're adding is just diluting the beer.
Personally I'd go for adding a good quality puree of mango.
This is very good: https://www.finefoodspecialist.co.uk/fr ... -puree-1kg
I've used funkin purees in other beers successfully, but not mango: https://www.lovetiki.com/product/funkin ... puree-1kg/
Or the cheap option is to go to a grocer that stocks Carribean/African/Indian food stuffs where you can buy cans of mango pulp for a couple of pounds. Looks like my Sainsburys even stocks it.

If you are adding rubicon to the beer then it would probably be fine, I cant see anything there that would affect the fermentation. It does have some fructose that would ferment, so you could add some at bottling and account for that at the time.
You might have better luck with mango puree though?
