Marris Otter Bread

No, but I can say that they are not using that much. I make our bread and use spent grain in the recipe.
It does add a lovely flavour & fibre & a moister loaf. Been doing it for years.

Interestingly they have mainly wheat printed on the wrapper though and not barley 😂

Possibly a marketing opportunity due to reduced demand by brewers leading to a surplus of more expensive malted barley.
Without patience, life becomes difficult and the sooner it's finished, the better.

I thought they were using spent grain. It is certainly a cheap way to up your nutrition & eco credentials.

I just doubt there is a maris otter grain mountain going begging 😁

I'd doubt there would be a reliable supply of pure spent Marris Otter. Most brews are from a mix of grains and if it was pure, could it legally be called Marris Otter barley malt grain when converted to sugars that were mostly removed?

Hmm. 2% is a lot of power, in bread.
Soaking it in water might help. 😂😂
