Hi,
After a successful first meet, the next one is on Tuesday 26th August 19:30 - 21:30 at Ye Old Thirsty Pig in Maidstone, upstairs in the smaller room at front. If you are bringing beer for tasting bring approx 1 litre of each beer (less for very strong beers).
Please buy a pint of beer on arrival, the pub has offers Camra card members a 10p discount! The pub has been under new management for a year and features upto 4 kent ales on pump plus kent lagers on tap.
I should hopefully be bringing my Hop Attack Double IPA with me (which is currently fermenting) and contains nearly a half kilo of hops in a 20l brew with over 200 calculated IBUs!
Please PM me or reply to this thread to let me know that you will be attending.

I'd like to join in but won't know until nearer the time if I'll be available.
I'm surprised you haven't had a bigger response to such a good idea as there are quite a few local home brewers.
Good luck, I hope this takes off!

i'm basically commenting only to remind myself of this. gutted i couldn't make the first but i think i can make this. presume beers should be pre-chilled to serving temps?
dazzled, doused in gin..

Request accepted strangebrew.
I think that quite a few people don't see the events as they probably only look in individual boards rather than viewing active topics.
We only need a few more people to attend for it to work well. Brew meets are great for sampling over peoples beers and getting inspiration on future brews. Following a prior brew meet in the past a fellow brewer brought a spruce beer, after tasting it i ended up harvesting spruce tips in June and making my own...
If possible bring the beers chilled, I use a smallish cool bag for mine.

I'll have to try to improvise something. I've a bus/train/walk to get there so not sure what condition the beer will be in when I arrive. Also might be a little later this month as it was a bit of a rush to get that train.legion wrote:...If possible bring the beers chilled, I use a smallish cool bag for mine.
Last month's meet was good, but more people means more beer (hopefully!)
