hops, please stick to those available from Farams. and, final recipe must be achievable, funky malts etc, are a bitch to get ahold of in commercial amounts.

Hey Phil - any chance you can work a deal with your normal couriers so we can get reasonable rates to get beers over to you - especially if we feel like entering multiples...

Fair play on the constraints if the commercial end limits it all!Absolutely no idea if I'll be able to get together any entries for this, but sounds like fun :D

Shippers: tbh, Royal Mail (Parcel Force) is cheaper than what we pay, we use XDP to avoid all the strikes and all. fun in'it.

Dates: I am looking at this being done toward the end of may? should that give enough time?

please, give me dates before I fill in my own calendar!

If someone feels like setting this out into some sort of ordered "rules" or competition plan? I will send them beers from Beermerchants.com - we're in this together... Then I can come up with the webpage and go from there... (I am off to Belgium in a mo to go buy a load of Gueuze, should be fun! not back until monday. )

Plus, I'd like to have some sort of standard document for entry = some idea of style, target, and ingredients. Gravity, both starting and finishing. plus, commentary on what you'd have done differently should you have another chance to brew it. What YOU thought of the beer, both positive and negative.

so4 is fine!

We've got somewhat closer to this, rules (written by one of you fantastic chaps, which are awesome) are done, we've got judges (Pete Brown, Kelly Ryan, Mark Dredge and Steve Williams) , the brew kit works ( brewed a 1051 90%Pale, 5Caragold 3.5%carapils and 1.5 malted wheat. Hopped with Magnum, Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe @50ibu. with nearly a kilo of simcoe and amarillo at rest. will be available in a couple of weeks for you london folk)

will put information on either beermerchants blog or Saints and Sinners website!?

can someone suggest a date?

We're having a meet the brewer sessions - with a collaborative brew beforehand, at the brewery - sign up here for invites - we really want the homebrew community to be involved with our efforts, hell, both steve and I are homebrews, even now!

what a brilliant idea, il have to get my thinking cap on though, all my good beers have too exotic yeasts and hops, and its been a while since i brewed under 6% or even bottle conditioned come to think of it!

Ok, so I will post details, pending confirmation of venue, etc, but that's not major.

All the ducks are in a row, brewery, sponsors and ££ . Prizes might even include at trip to Brugge to HalveMann brewery, Brugse Zot, working on that one.

let's keep this ball rolling!
