Aye he is Jim. Garth is having a few computer issues, hence the online no-show
Ah, splendid! 8)

(Splendid that he's coming, that is, not that he's having IT issues. )

What time will be the kick-off?

Excellent. 8)

I notice DarloDave (formerly BoroDave) hasn't posted on this thread - does anyone know if he's coming?

Don't know, but reading his recent postings, he is still very much into the hobby. In the past he's had transport problems, but with the change of venue that may not be the case. Maybe he's involved in study, and whilst desiring his company, that must be sacrosanct. Of course we also have the curséd liquidity problem facing the up and coming generation.
Come on Dave, what chance?

No Jim, RICH. Then he can buy all the beer.
Best of luck David.

Well there it was, been and gone, a good night had by all. Thank you.
There was such diverse and complementary discussion stimulated by this Forum that if there's not a pre-ordained seat in Beer Heaven for Jim, we should arrange one.
The venue was perfect, with no disrespect to the previous implied. Its failing was a chip shop with open door, in a straight line to, and a few yards short, of the bus station. Into this Garth disappeared, seduced by the smell, and not to be seen again.
Roll on the next one.

Aye, a good night out. 8)

I also thought the venue was good; though the range of beers was less than the Tap and Spile, the decor was an improvement.

By the way, Eric, don't you ever sleep?

EDIT: It was nice to see a new face as well, Mattypower came up all the way from Middlesbrough to see us.

I'm back, I got lost in that chip shop.

Bloody nice chips mind you.

I got my chips, and scoffed them round the corner so you two greedy buggers didn't pinch them. By the time I entered the bus station, wiping grease from me face, Eric had already gone. I saw HH briefly then I got on a random bus that a bloke said was going my way and fell asleep.

Great evening, company, venue and beer, and 2 - 3 months is too big a gap between these things. Lets have another by the end of Oct - start of November......how about it?

Well done to Scott for organising this time.

Did you go past your bus stop then Garth! Don't worry, I know someone else who did that many years ago.

Definitely!!!!!!!!!!!! One slight variation though, leave the pub a couple of minutes earlier to see if we can pinch some chips before my bus leaves.
Grand night.
