Sure, I understand. Anyway my beers are bottle conditioned (I thought this was the only allowed way, but I see the form allows you to specify counter pressure filled) and they would prob benefit from sitting for a few days. I sent them special delivery on friday so they would only have arrived on D-day monday :)

Well, I had a beer brewed for this but I didn't get it bottled in time. Good luck to all who entered.

Well that's one less hurdle to climb :D
No seriously it's a shame you didn't enter - what happened? Did you drink it all (again) before you could send it off?

I believe this has been judged and was won by Mark at BeerBirraBier, congrats to him.
Do you think we might get any feedback on our entries?

Hope you do, otherwise the competition is good for nothing apart from getting a group of judges drunk. It's a lot of time and effort getting beers brewed, packaged and sent off.

Last competition I entered there was no feedback provided despite repeated requests - very frustrating - I won't be entering another unless detailed feedback is promised!

Was the beer judging anonymous, by the way? Just asking

I agree. It was asked, and promised, but strangely enough everything seems to have gone quiet. Nobody even bothered to post the results in this forum and I had to google it to find out. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me.

I actually forgot about this thread.

The brewer from Brew Wharf did eventually call me and give me my quite detailed feedback. Apparently they had a minor catastrophe (I think he said a flood of some sort - can't remember if it was a tank or pipe bursting or something) at the brewery and this is why the feedback was so delayed.

He said that they liked my beers and that one of them was third in the runnings, but he wasn't able to tell me which one. Nice, but unfortunately not very useful. Anyway, I re-entered the same American Pale in the CBA competition and it took 1st place in it's category, so all's well that ends well :)
