I was away for a few days last week so don't know if anything is planned. A bank holiday may not be first choice for any event. Hope to have some info after Wednesday, but whatever would be free for next Monday.

Next Meet the Brewer Night will be September 21st. with the Anarchy Brewery.
I'm going to have difficulty attending.

Indeed they do have some very good beers and he's prepared to take risks.
His talk was first class describing how he's found a niche in the market. They won't grow bigger as he has enough repeat customers to keep the business stable and viable within the lower duty limit, but it would seem he couldn't sit back and expect all to fall in plac without keeping an eye on the market.
There was a reasonable turn out, much better than it had been last winter.

Great to hear this one was more of a success, Eric. Also that you're back on your feet! :)

Hopefully we'll all get to the next one. Any word on when it will be?

Thanks for your thoughts, I've been down since Jim as there's more work to do yet that I might combine walking and drinking. Had my first venture on a bus today.
The meeting was well attended although a half dozen were from the brewery. I'd hope Matt is planning for a monthly meeting as it used to be. They have a Facebook page that probably has details, but I don't do that sort of thing. Might try to get down either later this week or failing that next Monday.

I'd fancy coming along if one is going along although I am very new to all this. Sunderland is a bit of a pain from Morpeth but I'm sure it can be done :)

There was nothing on the board last Wednesday, but the beers were good. Intend going this evening to see what might be known or planned and will report back.

Yes, not at all easy from Sunderland to Morpeth on an evening, thoughts of using public transport would meand leaving at 9:00 as the fun properly starts. It would be lovely to see you there, so watch this space.

Matt wasn't in tonight and nothing is yet arranged. He used to have a night to thank his regulars some years in the past, but times are a bit different now.
Any suggestions?

Watching with interest, if the fun starts at 9 then maybe I need to really "enjoy" the night and use some of my hotel points to stay down there :)
