True to their word, a new venue. Last year was a bit too 'cosy'

Not really within walking distance to Sutton station when carrying back your crate and bottles.
Might have to stay at relatives in Coulsdon and bus it!

Belmont Station probably slightly closer (but not by much...).

Now, what to brew and enter...? :D

One of them may be making an appearance - maybe it'd be better to wait til next year (it'll be exactly a year old this Nov). Maybe I'll try one of them this evening to see how they're progressing... :-k

I'm up for this one again, I scraped a peoples choice last year - fortunately - 'cos the beers I'd brewed missed the style guidelines by a country

Who else is in? It's so friendly and beer-geeky, certainly nothing to be unsure about, loads if free advice and experiences, if you've got a drinkable brew, put it in, and come and have a chat. :)

What's the skinny on this compo? How do you enter the beer - i.e. How many bottles do you need to submit, what are the styles available etc ?

If it's like last year it's judged to the BJCP style guidelines here, and you have to submit a minimum of 6 pint bottles, or 3 gallons if kegged.

Thanks Si,

Does bottled beer need to be bottle conditioned, or can it be bright from a corny? Also - for bottle conditioned beer, does it all get held somewhere for a few days in advance to allow the yeast sediment to settle out after transport?

Last year you could deliver early to the cheers shop or drop off at the venue the night before, or if absolutely necessary on the morning before 9.30 if I remember right. As for exacting submission requirements check with richard burns by calling the shop in the first post

Last year I dropped my bottles off at Cheers in Cheam the day before. Richard then transports them down to venue.

Well.....if I've actually got 6 bottles of anything left, I'll give him a call tomorrow and get the skinny on the rules.
