Re: Cambridge JBK Meeting 23rd Sept.
Are you guys picking these meeting dates from the Ward family calender? I missed the last meeting as it was my wedding anniversary and this one clashes with the wifes birthday, which is a shame as I have a rather nice amerikan style pale based on jubbys base recipe which is drinking rather nicely. I also hoped to find out from someone how to extract less foam from a cornie. Still theres always next time! If you can avoid 2nd Nov, my birthday and Im off to see Magazine at the Junction and 25th Dec I'm pretty free! Have a good one.

Re: Cambridge JBK Meeting 23rd Sept.
Shame you won't be able to make it raiderman and Jamie!
I'll be there with the last bottle of my Bishops Farewell clone from a second batch I brewed following the brew-off. Exactly the same method and ingredients, just washed and reused the yeast from the first batch to see if reusing yeast gets better results.

I'll be there, but I just emptied the corny of Bishops
. Does the last pint always taste the best? There should be a bottle around for you guys to try though - time for some delving in the archives...
Plenty of the porter left though, so I know I can bring that along.
Cheers all,
ML.

Re: Cambridge JBK Meeting 23rd Sept.
Another great meet last week! Some great beers sampled too!
Can anyone recall what was agreed for the Christmas brew off? Was it dark, seasonal, greater than 6% or was that relaxed to brew whatever we like?

Re: Cambridge JBK Meeting 23rd Sept.
I've just started my christmas brew its called Techknophobe on account of my digital scales having packed in and the old scales being hopelessly inadequate - a 100g bag of hops comes out at 75g! Despite weighing by eye and dividing the late hops between bowls to measure them out it hit 1050 and seems ok on the bitter front, we shall see.
