15 people turned up - weather was a big ropey but stayed pleasant enough to eat outdoors. I did my brewing demo under a big brolly in the end.

46 litres going into the boil... and I was still drawing a 1.020 wort - efficiency was well up

How cool is this - one couple rocked up on a 1960 Vintage motorcycle

We were rained off the tasting outdoors so I managed to shoehorn everyone into my kitchen for a little lecture. I gave them a spiel about brewing in general, different beer styles and we had tasters of seven different beers. A first outing for my recent Russian Imperial Stout was the highlight for me

... and the brown Ale? Hit 1056 after the boil and the wort has good clarity and a great red shine to it.
I struck out for a lowish IBU with a lot of late hops. Should be malty with an interesting aroma kick at the end.
