Hi all
I was wondering if anyone had any information about any Homebrew competitions (or brew clubs) in the East Lancashire/ West Yorkshire area? Ive tried looking on the "trusty" ol' internet but it keeps taking me down south or across to America. Just a little bit out of my way that one.
Any suggestions or info would be greatly recieved.
Thanks in advance
Mick

There are various events, like the ipa comp at the saltaire brewery, and there was the, transit of venus comp yesterday in preston! My suggestion would be to join the northern craft brewers and you can then enter your beers, into inter regional competitions.

The club covering the north is the Norther Craft Brewers.

For the national there's a northern drop off with me in Lancaster.
Next one after that would be thornbridge

The NCBA does small informal competitions once every few meets. The last one was in March, an IPA comp at the Saltaire Brewery in Bradford. The site is a bit low on info, possibly because the webmaster is busy starting a commercial brewery, but from memory the next competition is in Heald Green in January (clone Fullers Bengal Lancer). The next meeting is a brewery tour in Leeds (20th October).
There is also the
thbf Spring Thing in May which is likely to be in a middle of the country location.
