Well today's brew will certainly be one of those 'I've got this far it might as well go in the bucket and we'll see what happens".

Bought a new thermometer after finding out my old one was 10c out. Mashed as normal then noticed as I turned the boiler on to get to boiling it was already reading 99c when realistically I could only have been around 70c. So either it was faulty all along or it bit the dust just after the mash. Guess I'll only tell if ive Mashed super low when I take an OG...

So boys and girls...always remember to calibrate your new thermometer!

Just one week to go now, until we all sit down to exchange stories of how fresh and juicy our NEIPAs were when we bottled them three weeks ago! :-({|= :-D

*Except those of you bottling from a keg the night before; first one to mention doing so buys the next round

Bit of a late call but does anyone need a hotel room if staying over ?
My mate is unwell so can’t make the comp, so a double room at the Bradford Ibis budget is going spare

Nope been very poorly, luckily he’s on the mend but not well enough for the trip.
Still it gives the rest of us a better chance, every cloud
