Water is on but just checked the heat up time with Andys calculator - 2hrs to get from 12c to 85c :shock:
Won't be mashing for a while yet then!

Stunner recipe with a tweak 'cause i don't have enough pale malt.

80.00 g. Styrian Goldings Whole 3.00 0.0 0 min.

Extras - 2 Whirlfoc Tablets 15 Min.(boil)

Yeast - Gervin English Ale Yeast

Only one small hiccup yesterday -
the pre-filter for the heat exchanger got blocked due to sparging the hops as the boiled wort was a bit low :oops:
It got blocked still with 15lt in the copper.
End result was ok - about 48lt at the planned OG 1.044
Yeast kicked in after 5 hours and was building up nicely this morning.

Mash tun doing its business - only dropped 2 deg over 90mins.

This is the most hops i've ever used in a single brew-320gr!!

I was starting to get worried as the brew, (Gervin yeast), did not have the usual volcanic 2 days ferment you see with S04.

Fear not, after 7 days it's down to 1.008
So the initial activity has no bearing on attenuation and final gravity.
Sample jar tasted great. 8)
