Result 8) It amazes me how only a little bit of time passing by changes the flavour significantly!

6 weeks in the bottle means the first of the 'quality control' samplings of the OP. I had a test bottle of the Theakston's on Sunday night, doing a side-by-side with mine at the same time would have had me out sparko, so I left it till last night. This is by far the closest 'clone' brew I've done so far - apart from the higher strength which you can taste over the original, its very close! Colour-wise, the same dark ruby with a very similar fruity, rich deep malty taste.
Clone aside, its the best beer I've done too - very balanced flavour and none of the subtle tastes which indicate that its a 'homebrew'.
For those that like OP I'd definitely recommend it as a recipe.
