I've never had one ferment out that low! :shock: Mine usually finish around the 1006-ish point.

I should point out that I usually start my mash at around 67c-68c myself, If I started it in the 62c-63c region it probably would ferment out slightly lower than 1006. I am under orders from Mrs H not to though. I did it once & she preferred the version with the higher mash temp.

Yes, I was wondering if my mash temp had been a bit lower than I'd thought.

Cracked into this last night after five weeks in the keg and it was superb. We had a beer and curry night for eight of us last night and it went down very well with everyone. (I made the curry as well 8) )

Well done ECR....I must do a lager....and a curry... I've been looking at HHs lager recipe for a day or two now. ..I think the time has come.

Yep, and so is Mrs R! I was out last night, came home and she was sitting there with a pint glass of it next to her 8)

She'd not even added any lime to it :lol:
